Chocolate lava cake

This is the recipe of “chocolate lava cake“…

Chocolate lava cakes are so called because the center of the cake is a thick liquid chocolate oozes out when cut,like molten lava. These make great surprise dessert and although pretty simple to make,will impress your guests.


-280 g semi or bittersweet chocolatefull-lavacakes3

-180 g of butter

-8 eggs

-275 g of sugar

140 g of flour

Preheat oven to 180 deg c. Grease 10 large tins or cups;paper muffin can also be used. Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt it with butter over hot water.  Beat the eggs with sugar and mix the flour. Slowly fold in the melted butter and chocolate. Bake at 180 degrees for only  8-12 minutes; the outher part should be cooked and the inner part liquid!!

You can, if you want, serve your chocolate lava cake recipe with a Crème Anglaise (English Cream) or a Coulis aux Framboises (Raspberry Sauce).
